Our Learning Environments

chc-playground

Balga ELC is all about creating a safe space that nurtures you and our child.

We believe family is key in young children’s lives and we are passionate about supporting the family unit.

We feel that all our learning environments need to reflect this focus on family. We boast three separate outdoor learning spaces for our different age groups, and a marvelous custom-built nature play garden which is also home to our playgroup sessions, organised by the playgroup coordinators.

Our nature play garden is also available for private hire - it’s a fantastic space for a party, with plenty of toys to play with on-site. Contact Jo Ineson on 0428 687 949 for booking details and pricing.

BABY ENVIRONMENT 0 – 2 Years

We understand the importance of consistency for young children, so as part of your enrollment we ask you to provide as much information as possible about your child’s routine at home. This way we can understand your child’s individual needs in our own supportive environment.

In our care, babies above 12 months will experience exciting play designed to support them as they discover themselves, make friends and acquire fundamental skills. The vast range of sensory experiences provided by our team will encourage your child to develop inquiry, autonomy, concentration and reflection skills.

TODDLER ENVIRONMENT 2 years – 3 years

Innovation, creativity, imagination and, yes, mischief are rampant in our toddlers! Our team centers the childrens’ days on self-guided exploration and planned activities which aim to help develop skills including language, problem solving, mathematics, science and construction. We want to grow their confidence and independence to ensure they enter the world as unique and resilient individuals.

KINDY ENVIRONMENT 3 to 5 years

In our Kindy environment, we have created a thriving, fast-paced and challenging space for our little learners. Our exceptional educators guide our children as they are introduced to the concept of school-level learning. The foundational language, numeracy and science skills required at school are woven into all learning activities we offer. In the Kindy room, we have a passion for exploring all cultures, focusing on creating an environment that is inclusive and promotes love for all people.
